C. Rattray MD is President of CareVariance LLC. Dr. Rattray and the company specialize in the development and deployment of
episode of care and accountability concepts and approaches to health care value assessment
and payment. Current clients include purchasing coalitions, health plans,
physician specialty societies, regional health initiatives, and government purchasers.
Dr.
Rattray is a participant in the Ambulatory Care Quality Alliance (AQA), NCQA’s
Efficiency Measurement Advisory Panel, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s High Value Healthcare Project, the National
Quality Forum, and America’s Health Insurance Plans Foundation Industry Data Aggregation Initiative.
His 15 year healthcare
management career includes positions as health plan CEO, CMO, and corporate and
research roles in clinical informatics development, physician practice measurement, and quality improvement. This was
preceded by a 12 year private practice in Obstetrics and Gynecology in the
Seattle area. Dr. Rattray is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University
of Washington.
